Millbank Estate Management Organisation (MEMO) is Westminster’s largest tenant management organisation managing 561 dwellings.
The estate is a listed building (grade II) located directly behind the Tate Britain and regarded as a masterpiece of Arts and Craft design.
The Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is an organisation set up under the UK Government's Housing (Right to Manage) Regulations 1994, which allow residents of Council or Housing Association homes in the UK, to take over responsibility for the running of services on their estate.
The Estate comprises fifteen red-brick arts and crafts mansion blocks commissioned by the London County Council (LCC) between 1897 and 1902.
Today the Millbank Estate is made up of 561 individual flats, managed on behalf of Westminster City Council by the Millbank Estate Management Organisation (MEMO), a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) run by and for the residents of the Estate.
